wants another big rate increase from North Carolina consumers to build
climate-busting power plants we don't even need. Its request is headed for
judicial review. An evidentiary hearing will be held at 1:30 p.m. on July 8th
where public testimony will not be allowed. But that doesn’t mean the people
won’t be heard!
coalition of environmental, consumer, social justice and other community groups
as well as small business owners and North Carolina ratepayers an hour before
the hearing at a press conference.
calling attention to the thousands of written and photo petitions from
ratepayers across the Duke Energy service area and calling for a denial of
Duke’s rate hike request.
conference will be followed by special surprise performances that make it
plain: just because Duke Energy is a monopoly doesn’t make it okay for them
to play around with your money!
